Why The Beam Room
Hi, I’m Suzanne, founder of The Beam Room Berkshire.
My interest in laser hair removal started from personal experience. I know what it’s like to feel frustrated by unwanted hair and the constant maintenance that comes with it — and how something that might seem small to someone else can have a much bigger impact on how you feel about yourself.
Discovering laser hair removal made me genuinely interested in what could be achieved with the right treatment, technology and approach. The more I learned, the more I knew this was an industry I wanted to be part of.
I wanted to create a business where I could help other people spend less time thinking about unwanted hair and feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin.
The name The Beam Room felt like the perfect fit for what I wanted to create. “Beam” has a connection to the laser technology at the heart of what I do, but it also has another meaning that I love — to beam is to radiate happiness and confidence.
For me, that captures what The Beam Room is really about. It’s not simply about reducing unwanted hair; it’s about helping you spend less time thinking about it and feel more comfortable and confident in yourself.
A little bit of laser beam, my intention to make you beam and that’s how it began.
More Than Hair Removal
For me, laser hair removal isn’t simply about removing hair.
It can be about not planning your outfit around whether you’ve shaved. Not thinking twice before putting your arms up. Not constantly booking waxes or reaching for the razor. And, for some people, simply feeling a little more comfortable and confident in themselves.
Having experienced those frustrations myself, I understand that everyone arrives at laser hair removal for their own reasons.
That’s why I’ll always take the time to understand yours.

When I created The Beam Room, I knew I wanted it to feel personal.
It’s a one-to-one studio, so when you’re here, my attention is entirely on you. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, talking openly about anything that concerns you and knowing that you’ll always receive honest, realistic advice.
I’m naturally friendly, approachable and detail-focused, and I care about doing things properly. I’ll never recommend more than I genuinely believe you need, and there’s no pressure to commit to a course before you’re ready.
We’ll simply talk about what you’d like to achieve and work out the right approach for you.

I’m qualified to VTCT Level 4 in Laser & IPL, alongside VTCT Level 3 in Anatomy & Physiology, and use professional SMARTDiode laser technology for my treatments.
From your initial consultation and patch test through to your ongoing appointments, I want you to understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it and what you can realistically expect from your treatment.

I’m qualified to VTCT Level 4 in Laser & IPL, alongside VTCT Level 3 in Anatomy & Physiology. I have also completed the Laser/IPL Safety Management Course (Core of Knowledge), together with manufacturer-led training with Smart Group in the professional and safe use of their laser technology.
Ongoing learning and professional standards are important to me, so you can feel confident that your treatment is being carried out with care, knowledge and attention to detail.
